Research on determination of drought sensitive and resistant barley and wheat genotypes with molecular markers is in progress in frame of the EUREKA-1322 Cereal Stresstol Project. Experimental materials concerning resistant and sensitive hybridizations (barley and wheat families and F2 plants) were obtained from Anadolu Agricultural Research Institute. Leaf area, relative water content, paraquat dependent chlorophyll destruction and paraquat dependent total protein analysis were applied for selection of drought resistant and sensitive genotypes. Drought resistance is investigated at molecular level using Bulk Segregation Analysis and Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) methods and markers related with drought resistance were observed on experimental materials.
